Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia. Using slow, firm strokes and deep finger pressure, our skilled therapists work to break up scar tissue, release chronic muscle tension, and restore natural movement.
This massage is particularly effective for treating chronic aches and pains, including stiff necks, upper back tension, lower back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. The pressure used is generally more intense than a Swedish massage, but your therapist will always work within your comfort level.
During your session, the therapist may use forearms, elbows, and thumbs to reach the deepest muscle layers. Some areas may feel tender during the massage, but you should never experience sharp or unbearable pain.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure, which can cause some discomfort in areas of tension. However, it should never be unbearably painful. Our therapists always check in with you and adjust pressure to your comfort level.
For chronic conditions, weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks are often recommended, then transitioning to maintenance sessions every 2-4 weeks. For general wellness, once or twice a month is usually sufficient.
Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins, avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours, and consider a warm bath with Epsom salts. Some soreness for 1-2 days is normal.
